Primarily a self-taught artist, she began painting nature scenes in watercolor. She had no idea how quickly things would change after her first painting honored an award at a juried show, following Invitational Shows and soon, achieved gallery representation in the US Virgin Islands – Where a gallery owner advised her to paint in other mediums.
